On behalf of the American Society for Quality, we congratulate you on being named the recipient of the 2006 Deming Medal. In addition to our congratulations it gives me great pleasure to offer you a complimentary registration to ASQ’s World Conference on Quality and Improvement to be held at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, FL, April 30 – May 2, 2007. The award winners will be introduced and handed their certificate on stage prior to the 8:00 a.m. opening session on Monday, April 30th. A special medal presentation ceremony will begin at 10:00 a.m., during which you will be presented your medal and have the opportunity for a five-minute acceptance speech.

Immediately following the presentation ceremony, you will be among the guests of honor at the ‘invitation only’ Honors Reception, 12:00 – 1:30 p.m. A separate invitation for this reception for you and a guest will be mailed in March. Trish Borzon from ASQ headquarters will contact you directly about additional conferencedetails in the weeks to come.

For recognition purposes, please provide Trish with the following by February 20th:
   - a digital photo of yourself
   - the completed press release and winner profile form (attached)

Your complimentary World Conference registration, two (2) exhibit hall luncheon tickets (one for Monday and one for Tuesday), and one (1) banquet ticket will be reserved for you at the registration area in the Orange County Convention Center.

Please complete and submit the registration form as soon as possible.

If you were not planning to attend the World Conference this year, I hope the receipt of this honor will persuade you to do so. If you have already paid for your registration, we will send reimbursement within a
couple of weeks.
